Operations Manager


Oversee and coordinate the Customs Brokerage compliance and all aspects of the company’s import and export operations, including logistics, distribution, transportation, and forecasting.

Analyze, formulate, and direct logistical chain solutions for the export and import needs of Globe’s multinational clientele. Direct and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, and logistics quality management in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping. Prepare and process import and export documentation according to Mexican Customs regulations, laws, and procedures. Resolve problems concerning international transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues by overseeing the implementation of U.S. C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) program and apply all necessary corrective measures in accordance with the Minimum Supply Chain Security Criteria.

Interact with domestic and international customers and other functional areas to ensure compliance, and advise of any changes in regulations as required. Supervise and direct warehouse and transportation staff to ensure the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in International Business or a related field, or foreign equivalent

3 years of experience as Logistics Manager, Logistics Assistant Manager, or related position


Special Requirements


Must have at least 1 year of experience in the following:

1.    U.S. Customs and Border Protection Automated Broker Inface (ABI)
2.    Mexican Customs Laws and procedures
3.    In-Bond system and procedures for Truck, Rail, Air, and Ocean shipments
4.    Temporary Admition Carnet (ATA)
5.    U.S. Customs brokerage operations such as Harmonized Tariff Schedule Classification, Reconciliation and Valuation, FDA Compliance, NAFTA Rules of Origin/ Marking Rule, and Textile Trade Programs
6.    Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and knowledge of the various governmental agencies associated with these compliance activities.
7.    50% international travel required, fully reimbursed by employer.
